Celebrities Invade Grand Turk as the Island Goes Hollywood-News Sources State

Celebrities Filming on Grand Turk.

    /Movies and Video PR News/ - CARLSBAD, CA, February 24, 2006 - Actress, and Philanthropist Sazzy Lee Varga -- one of Playboy Magazine's original "Women of the Internet" -- will return to the British West Indies to shoot with Award Winning Director Rex Piano on the thriller, "Trapped."

This is the forth film the two will collaborate on in the West Indies. "Fault Line" filmed on the island in 2004 in which Piano directed Varga in her role as "Sandra Blacker" a new reporter covering the events of a mine explosion, is experiencing a huge amount of success in the European markets, and is highly touted as a "must see film" when it premiers in the US later this year. Piano said: "We are thrilled with the response in the European market place. It has been playing non-stop there. We anticipate a similar response upon US release."

Piano is best known for his countless TV series and the feature, "The Month Of August" which won 3 film awards including "Best Feature" and "Best Comedy Feature." He has directed numerous films for Lifetime television, and on any given week you are likely to find a "Rex Piano Film" showing.

When asked how she feels about returning to the island to work Varga comments "I'm really excited to go back there. The people are truly wonderful, and being directed by Rex is a fantastic experience. He is so passionate about his work, and draws out a performance from you that really translates marvelous to the big screen."

You will remember Varga from her work in Playboy, the Sci-Fi film "Chupacabra Dark Sea's" where she stared opposite John Reyes-Davis (Lord Of The Rings) and her other Piano directed film, "Blind Injustice" which found her sharing the screen with Jamie Luner (Melrose Place). Her notable charitable work for The Tibetan Photo Project; of which she is a founder has garnered the attention of the likes of "Arts and Antiques" magazine and "Parade" magazine.
