INDIE PARANORMAL THRILLER "POINT OF CONTACT" TO DEBUT AT THIS YEAR'S SHRIEKFEST IN HOLLYWOOD.
Paranormal thriller POINT OF CONTACT starring actor/athlete Buddy Dolan (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Miami Vice and The Departed--all 2006) debuting at Shriekfest Film Festival October 1st.

/Movies and Video PR News/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, September 11, 2006 - More intense with less story drama than television's "Medium" or "Ghost Whisperer", "Point of Contact" delivers thrills and chills of paranormal experiences with the dead. After waking from a mysterious 12 year 'sleep state', "Jake McCormick" played by up and coming actor Buddy Dolan (Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest, Miami Vice and The Departed, all 2006) finds himself a lost and confused man, with an unwanted ability to see and attract the dead. What he doesn't know is that Spirits have a future planned for him that's beyond his control.
Not fully understanding his environment, he reluctantly seeks the assistance of a gifted medium who helps him to understand not only are his abilities extraordinary, but also that he is the 'Point of Contact' between the living world and the spirit world. With this knowledge comes undesirable and unchangeable responsibility yet "Jake" reluctantly accepts the challenge and chooses not to be intimated by his charges.
Written and produced by Mr. Dolan, this is his first independent film and reflects a strong personal interest in the paranormal and is based on true events. Harvard educated, Juilliard trained musician, the former Marine and semi-professional (baseball) and accomplished amateur athlete (cycling/bodybuilding) was drawn to the supernatural and paranormal during his successful pursuit of a black belt in karate and resulting interaction with eastern cultures and mysticism.
The 92-minute feature was shot in HD on location in Orlando, FL at Townsend's Plantation (an alleged site of an unsolved family murder in the 70's) and at MODS studio in Burbank, CA. Media who covered the shoot on location in Orlando found their equipment inexplicably malfunctioned.
