Thirty hours of films at the Idaho Panhandle International Film Festival August 24-26th culminated in a one-hour presentation of nineteen awards onstage at the historic Panida Theater, site of the entire festival.

/Movies and Video PR News/ - SANDPOINT, ID, September 05, 2006 - Thirty hours of films at the Idaho Panhandle International Film Festival August 24-26th culminated in a one-hour presentation of nineteen awards onstage at the historic Panida Theater, site of the entire festival. DJ Robin from 106.7 The Point emceed the event, which featured several filmmakers present to receive their awards onstage and make an acceptance speech. Among those present was Jenny Meyer, subject of Jeff Bock documentary "Jenny's Journal" about Jenny's struggle with cancer, and Marianne Love, both of whom broke away from Jeff's wedding long enough to attend. And what a weekend for Jeff indeed, as Jenny said "he got a bride... and an award!".

Jeff won the IPIFF Eagle for Best Northwest Filmmaker, and when Jenny stood to accept his award, the crowd cheered her in support.

IPIFF innovatively also gave their sponsors a chance for extra exposure to present their award onstage, including CEO Tom Chasse of Schweitzer Mountain, Owner Fred Colby from Laughing Dog Brewing, and FC Weskil's owner Yolanda Wilike.
