Patrick Rea's new feature film "THE EMPTY ACRE" will be screened at The Two Boots Pioneer Theater in New York City at 6:30pm ET on Monday, April 23, 2007.
/Movies and Video PR News/ - April 20, 2007 - "The Empty Acre" is the feature debut for award-winning short film director Patrick Rea. His films have already appeared on nationally marketed DVDs such as the "Hollywood Scarefest" and "Fangoria's Blood Drive". His work has screened at festivals like The Palm Beach International Film Festival and The New York Horror Film Festival, and is also available online (www.horrorchannel.com and www.fangoriatv.com) and through cell phones (www.n8studios.com).
Filmed entirely on location in Kansas, "The Empty Acre" is a dramatic horror film about an unseen force that feeds on a small town. The shadow-like entity reaches out from a dead acre of land on a young couple's property. One late summer night, the couple's baby is taken by the ominous being. What follows is a frantic search for their missing child. As Beth (Jennifer Plas) delves deeper into the mystery of the deaths and disappearances around town, she comes closer to learning the terrible secret of the dead land and the evil force behind it. A mysterious stranger may hold the key. But the closer she draws to the truth, the less stable her husband -- and her sanity -- become.
"The Empty Acre" was produced by SenoReality Pictures and Invidious Productions. It stars Jennifer Plas, John Wilson, and Robert Paisley.
