New Reality Show: "The Good, The Bad, and The Movie"

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 12, 2008 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Have you ever wanted to be an actor or director, or write a big Hollywood film?
Well in order to turn your dream or script into the next big blockbuster to hit theaters, you need to raise tons of money to film it. Unfortunately, bumping into an executive producer working for Warner Brothers or Universal Pictures just dying to take a chance on a newbie doesn't happen as often as you'd hope.
In the midst of extreme nationwide economic difficulties, two young filmmakers are taking matters into their own (and America's) hands.
The Good, The Bad, and The Movie (www.thegoodthebadandthemovie.com) is one of the most refreshing and innovative ideas to come to the reality show genre since American Idol.
It follows Los Angeles based writer/director Jameel Saleem and his roommate/producing partner Kimelia Weathers as they raise the money for their first feature film, literally one dollar at a time. The audience will have a chance to really get behind the scenes, and be there for the fundraising process as these two filmmakers raise the 300 thousand dollars they need to start production on their film.
The most interesting and challenging aspect of the show is that Jameel and Kimelia will only be asking for one dollar from each contributor. From the big meetings with A-list actors, producers, and celebrities to the PayPal contributions accepted directly on the website (www.thegoodthebadandthemovie.com) from viewers all over the country. They're only asking for one dollar a piece!
Aside from contributing a dollar, viewers have many opportunities to be directly involved with the making of the film. As a reward for contributing, they are offering two amazing incentives. After reaching the halfway point in the film budget ($150K), they will raffle off a chance for one lucky contestant and a guest to fly out to L.A., all expenses paid, to sit in on a casting session and help them select the actors who will star in the movie.
After the total $300K is raised, another raffle will be held to select one winner and a guest who will be flown out to L.A. for 3 days and 2 nights during the production of the movie and given exclusive, behind-the-rope access on set. Each dollar contributed earns one raffle ticket. The more contributions, the more chances to win, either one of these fabulous prizes.
There will also be a contest for all the aspiring actors out there. The Good, The Bad, and The Movie will be accepting online audition videos from Youtube.com. After reviewing all entries, Jameel and Kimelia will select three finalists whose audition videos will be posted on the website for the entire world to judge.
This will be an exciting, humorous, and sometimes dramatic peek into the world of filmmaking and what goes on before the filmmakers even make it on set for the first day of shooting.
