NEW YORK, NY, October 22, 2008 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Crawford Hollingworth, founder of MyElephantBites, explains that his passion about photography and film made him discovered that photographs contain more energy and life than what a 2-D image can portray.
Digital photographs are great, but they often get forgotten once they are stored in the hard drive. Crawford, came up with the idea to save those extra special friends and family moments by building a new technological platform that brings photos alive in a unique and totally original way. This platform is call IDsfx (Inside director special effects)."
The IDsfx technology works by emulating the thought process of a real-life movie director, using advanced artificial intelligence algorithms to create a complete movie in just a few seconds. The algorithms are keyed off of the user's choice of a movie genre. For example, if a user chooses the Horror movie genre, their movie may be edited together with Horror-specific themes, such as dripping blood, knife slash effects, bats, creepy lighting, and jarring movement. On the other end of the spectrum if a user chooses the Romance movie genre, their movie may contain much slower paced effects, such as gentle zooms and pans, lens focusing, and soft tinting. The complete list of currently available effects include Comedy, Sci-Fi, Silent Movie, Children's Movie, Home Movie, Horror, Romance, Rock Music Video, Thriller, Documentary, Film Noir, and Slideshow.
Through this site, users will be able to turn their pictures storage in their computers and make a fun "movie" to share with friends and family. This will allow them to create something truly memorable with pictures that might have otherwise be forgotten about.
Within this process, there are many underlying variables tracked to make sure the final movie looks like it was created by a real person. The software watches to make sure effects are appropriate for the genre, that they are not being overused, that they to not conflict with other effects, and dozens of other variables.
Once the movie is complete, the user can use several built-in mechanisms for sharing their movie. They can email it to friends, share on their website or favourite social site, or even convert it to video for burning to DVD or uploading to video sharing sites.
