Enemy Inks pact to produce Mike O'Dea's "Code Of Silence"
Pair poised to produce slate of films.
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, November 26, 2008 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Michael Z. Gordon's My Own Worst Enemy Productions, the production and finance company behind the highly acclaimed film, "Narc", has inked a joint-venture pact with Mike O'Dea to co-finance his latest screenplay, "Code of Silence".
New York-based My Own Worst Enemy was launched by Gordon together with a New York investment group seven years ago and most recently has put together a slate of twelve films. Gordon is a former composer turned producer who formed the co-venture which has subsequently acquired, financed and produced 14 movies with budgets of up to $6 million per picture.
Domestic distribution rights to many of the pics made under the venture will likely be handled by Sony Pictures and International rights to be handled through Deboragh Gabler's international sales operation, Legacy Filmworks.
"Gordon and Odea should make an excellent pairing to ensure that this script becomes a successful film, especially with Gordon's industry relationships and production experience", Gabler said. Gordon's Americana Films, which was formed in 2002 has a slate that includes Paul Flaherty's "Heart Stopper", with offers going out to Winona Ryder and Sharon Stone. The project is currently in pre-production.
