"Target Practice" Takes Aim at Duncan Oklahoma in Trail Dance Film Fest
Oklahomans get early peek at film, slated for springtime release
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, January 05, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- The intense independent action film "TARGET PRACTICE," which has already been picked up for distribution after making waves in multiple film festivals across the country, will be making its Oklahoma debut as part of the Trail Dance Film Festival in the city of Duncan on Saturday, January 17.
"TARGET PRACTICE" is a gritty, suspenseful thriller concerning 5 friends on a weekend fishing trip who discover a hidden training camp for homegrown terrorists in the mountains.
The film definitely isn't for the faint of heart but it's an intelligent, well-crafted piece of cinema and has been nominated for Best Action/Adventure at the Trail Dance Film Festival, has already won the coveted Action Film Of The Year Award at the Action On Film International Film Festival (AOF) in Pasadena, CA, and has been garnering terrific reviews.
The Hollywood trade Variety wrote "...politics give way to pure, unadulterated action in Richmond Riedel's impressively mounted 'Target Practice'... a relentless pace and astute storytelling ... Pic never lets up ... extremely tense and executed with great energy ..."
The Canada Free Press called the film "fast-paced and intense" and remarked, "The timely Target Practice will have theatregoers sitting on the edges of their seats."
Big Screen Entertainment Group (BSEG) will be releasing "TARGET PRACTICE" this spring, but the Trail Dance screening will offer theatergoers in the Duncan region an advance opportunity to see the film in the exciting atmosphere of a major film festival.
