Actress Sol Romero To Attend Oscar Weekend Red Carpet Event Hosted By Runway Magazine Hollywood

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 17, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Actress/Model Sol Romero will be among Hollywood Stars Friday & Saturday, February 20-21, 2009, walking the red carpet at the Runway Magazine Pre-Oscar Party. The private Hollywood red carpet event takes place at the Oscar Gifting Suite at the Liberace Penthouse in Hollywood (7461 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90036.)
"There are quite of few surprises in this year's nominees for the 81st Academy Awards," said Actress Sol Romero. "Like everyone else I have my favorites, and the Golden Globe winners gave us a sneak peak of the stiff competition, too. My congratulations to everyone nominated, because they're all winners in my book."
Romero also said she was happy to see that, despite an economic turmoil people still manage to go to the movies. "It also might have had a lot to do with the economic impact of the Writers Guild (WGA) strike, which occurred a little more than a year ago (Feb. 10, 2007)," she noted. "WGA strike crippled the movie and TV business when the market was already going through a consumer revolution Online. The Internet has changed the way everyone works."

Actress Sol Romero, wife of famed Movie Director Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale", "Beyond Borders", "Mask of Zorro") plays a hospital nurse in the upcoming Mel Gibson movie "The Edge of Darkness," due out in November. She is about to film another movie in September to be announced.
