Amateur Film Production Company Announce Feature Film - Spademan
A group of college students have announced plans to film a feature film due for release in 2010 under the working title Spademan
TYNE AND WEAR, UK, March 04, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Three film students have announced plans to create a feature film. The students who currently attend Durham New College in Durham, North East England have been inspired by the recent 81st Annual Academy Awards. Director and creator of the project Ryan Liddy along with Producer Sam Willey and co-producer Simon Smart are certain they can put together an impressive picture. This is despite having very little funding. They hope their enthusiasm for film production is enough.
The project announced under the working title Spademan is due for release sometime in 2010. Director Ryan Liddy told sources he is currently working on the screen play for the picture. Shooting is hoping to start around summer time and hopefully be completed by the autumn. The genre of the picture is set to be a traditional teen horror flick like Friday the 13th, Halloween and many more. As amateur film makers of course no big names will be appearing in the picture but with a bit of hard work and effort the confident teens aren't being put off.
Producer Sam Willey told sources: "Film has become very important to me since taking on the subject at A-level. Everyone has to start somewhere in an industry and we hope this will be our foot in the door. We are interested in anybody who may be willing to add extra funding to the project as we begin shooting the film. When the film has been completed next year we hope to take the production to various film festivals for amateur film across the UK."
