Asian American film "White Rabbit" by writer/ director Vandal Truong debuts at Hollywood East Film Festival

"White Rabbit" is a gripping short film about an estranged brother and sister who reunite at their father's funeral to confront their complex, abusive past. A portrait of an Asian American family--bold, heartfelt and devoid of stereotypical characters.

Maicau Films, based in New York, is a cutting edge production company that fosters provocative, original material for television and film. The original play "White Rabbit" premiered in 2008 at the Barrow Group Theatre in New York City as a workshop short play. Filmmaker Truong formed the film company to create an artistic environment that embraces the multicultural world in which we are all a part.
