HOUSTON, TX, May 22, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Hermes Creative Awards recently announced winners for the 2009 international awards competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. Among the winners is Houston-based Legacy Multimedia, for the creation of "Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan." The video tribute was created for The Blue Bird Circle annual gala in 2008.
Hermes Creative Awards recognizes outstanding work in the industry while promoting the philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals. There were more than 3,700 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries in the Hermes Creative Awards 2009 competition. Winners were selected from 142 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts - advertising, publications, marketing/branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, electronic media, and pro bono.
The "Video Tribute to Jan and Dan Duncan" won Honorable Mention in the Video/Nonprofit category. Focusing on the Duncan's charitable giving and support of the Texas Children's Hospital, the video gives a unique perspective of the couple: who they are, their role in the community, and why this cause is so important to them. The high-quality techniques and creative use of interviews, music, photos, and other elements helped create a one-of-a-kind multimedia presentation. The result is a well-crafted, emotive tribute to one of Houston's leading couples - a video selected over thousands of other entries as a winner in the Hermes Creative Awards 2009 competition.
