The Highwayman Movie Casting for Extras
On May 31st, Inferno Film Production will be casting for extras for the 18th century adventure movie based on Alfred Noyes famous poem, The Highwayman.
LITTLETON, CO, May 25, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- On May 31st, Inferno Film Production will be casting for extras for the 18th century adventure movie based on Alfred Noyes famous poem, The Highwayman. Principal photography on the movie will beginning in August. Inferno needs about a hundred extras to fill tavern and courtroom scenes with peasants. Extras will be required to provide their own costumes. While most of the extras will merely be background characters in crowd scenes, a few may be featured or given lines to say. Acting or re-enacting experience is plus. Experience with older crafts such as hand woodworking, blacksmithing, horseshoeing, is also a plus. Boulder native Macleish Day stars as Will Stiles who becomes The Highwayman in the movie. Will Stiles is a young farmer in 18th century England. He becomes a highwayman seeking revenge on those who wronged his family and when the conspirators fight back and hire a troop of soldiers, Will and his Bess are both killed. But The Highwayman continues his vengeance after death until he can be reunited with Bess.
Macleish Day completed a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater at University of Northern Colorado in 2008. His performance as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying last summer with the Colorado Light Opera was highly praised by the Daily Camera. Macleish will be rejoining CLO this summer playing Sir Evelyn Oakleigh at the Colorado Light Opera's production of Anything Goes and Slim in Oklahoma He has had roles in a number of with the CU Opera Company, The Little Theater of the Rockies, the Greeley Community Theater, and the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. He was featured as a dancer in An Air Force Christmas for PBS. Macleish's background as a dancer brings a flare to his swordfighting scenes in The Highwayman that complements his superb dramatic skills.
Marianne Page, who plays Bess, recently earned her Associate of Arts degree in Theatre from Red Rocks Community College and was featured in a number of productions there, including playing Lucy Tart in the melodrama The Haunted Mine at Lonesome Place and the lead role of Lisa in Out of Reach. She has also performed songs from Phantom of the Opera and Wicked as part of two musical theatre performances. Marianne's screen credits include a leading role in the film Rear View Mirror and a supporting role in 11:59 directed by Jamin Winans.
