Robert Pattinson Extravaganza on Saturday 20 June at selected Picturehouse Cinemas around the UK

Picturehouse Cinemas are offering the unprecedented opportunity to enjoy what the fan sites are calling 'Rob-O-Rama'! There are three great movies to see plus pre-film competitions with prizes including posters signed by Rob's own fair hand.

LONDON, UK, June 05, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- When we first announced our Robert Pattinson triple-whammy of LITTLE ASHES, HOW TO BE and TWILIGHT at the City Screen Picturehouse in York the response was incredible with some fans planning to travel jaw-dropping distances to be there. Already the bookings are flooding in from as far afield as Scotland, South Wales and even Austria.

In response to this demand there are now a total of five cinemas participating in this event, from east to west, from Scotland to the south coast. Fans can now join the party at any of the following venues:

Clapham Picturehouse, London
Harbour Lights Picturehouse, Southampton
Picturehouse at FACT, Liverpool
City Screen Picturehouse, York
The Belmont Picturehouse, Aberdeen

The timetable for the day is the same everywhere and there will be some amazing competitions before every film.

11.30 Twilight (12A)
14.10 How to Be (15)
16.15 Little Ashes (15)

Shared between the five cinemas we have 30 Twilight goody bags to give away. Each contain a mega-cool T-Shirt, bag, badge and key ring and we will be running competitions to win those before the morning show of Twilight at each cinema.

Before the performance of How to Be, courtesy of film producer Justin Kelly we are going to be offering the chance to win one of two mini-posters signed by Rob at each and every cinema. We're delighted that Justin Kelly will be appearing personally at Clapham to award the prizes.

Before Little Ashes each participating venue will be giving away two cinema posters for the film - you can't buy these in shops. And we'll also be giving away the posters that we've had designed and printed especially for our very own Rob-O-Rama. There have only been one or two printed for each cinema so these are a real rarity for anyone's collection.

For further information and tickets visit www.picturehouses.co.uk. All participating venues are offering great savings for customers who book for more than one film. (The multi-film discounts can only be obtained when booking in person or by phone: box office telephone numbers can be found on our website.)

Space is limited so reserve your tickets now for what promises to be an unforgettable day.

Film Synopses:

TWILIGHT (12A)
Director: Catherine Hardwicke. Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli. USA 2008. 122 mins.
TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never fitting in with the trendy girls at her high school. When she moves to the little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for: a soul mate.

HOW TO BE (15)
Director: Oliver Irving. Starring: Robert Pattinson, Rebecca Pidgeon, Jeremy Hardy, Michael Irving. UK 2008. 85 mins.
At first fancying himself as an 'enigmatic poet', twenty-something Art (Pattinson) gradually realises that he must take action if he's going to escape his depressed life as a struggling musician in London. A solution comes in the shape of a book titled 'It's Not Your Fault'. Not content to just draw inspiration from its pages, however, Art invites the elderly author of the book to come and live with him and his parents, which quickly becomes a painfully funny journey about dysfunction and growing up.

LITTLE ASHES (15)
Director: Paul Morrison. Starring: Javier Beltrán, Robert Pattinson, Matthew McNulty, Marina Gatell. UK 2008. 112 mins.
In 1922, Madrid is wavering on the edge of change as traditional values are challenged by the dangerous new influences of jazz, Freud and the avant-garde. Salvador Dalí (Pattinson) arrives at university at the age of 18, and his bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism attracts the attention of two of the university's social elite — Federico García Lorca (Beltrán) and Luis Buñuel (McNulty). Salvador is absorbed into their decadent group and for a time he, Luis and Federico become a formidable trio, the most ultra-modern group in Madrid. Directed with a keen eye for period detail by Morrison (WONDROUS OBLIVION), this is a potent look at creativity and artistic development.
