TXMPA Announces South Central Regional Caucus

Elections and Screenings in San Antonio on June 12

    SAN ANTONIO, TX, June 05, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- WHAT:
The South Central Region of the Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA) joins forces with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers - San Antonio (NALIP-SA) to host its annual Regional Caucus.

DETAILS:
TXMPA's South Central Region will hold its Regional Caucus on Friday, June 12 to elect a new Regional Representative and Alternate Regional Representative; members will also nominate candidates for the board's open At Large positions (each region may be represented by a maximum of four board members, including Regional Representatives and Alternates). Voting for At-Large members will take place online, and results will be announced at the organization's Annual Meeting (to be held in San Marcos on Saturday, June 27).

In conjunction with NALIP-SA's Cafe Cinema program (hosted by Madhatters Tea House and Cafe Express), TXMPA will also be screening short films featuring TXMPA members as cast or crew, including:

* "The Art of Disaster"
* "The Big Scary German"
* "Divine Intervention"
* "Finding McKinney" (trailer)
* "Guest of Honor"
* "High School Spotlight: Jimmy Jo Johnson"
* "Roses and Graves"
* "Treasure of the Perro Diablo"
* And more...

COST:
The event is free and open to the public; however, only paid TXMPA members in good standing will be eligible to vote, or to have their films screened.
