ThinkTalk Networks moderates event at George Washington University with famous director and political commentator
WASHINGTON, DC, September 30, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Academy Award -winning filmmaker Michael Moore will sit with students from George Washington University for a question and answer session about his career and highly-anticipated documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story. Educational television program ThinkTalk Networks and the GWU College Democrats are excited to host the event Tuesday, Sept. 29.
Several hundred students are expected to attend the Q&A and will have the opportunity to question Moore on all the controversial topics covered in his new project. ThinkTalk Networks will film the event for its syndicated college program broadcast on more than 170 college campuses nationwide. The Q&A will be held at 3:30 pm in the Betts Marvin Theater on the campus of GWU.
"We're very excited to bring Michael directly to our audience," said Zack Sherwood, host and producer, who will moderate the event. "At ThinkTalk we always incorporate students into our programming, but it's great to be able to give them an opportunity to directly engage such a successful and accomplished director."
Moore is the latest guest in the ThinkTalk lineup, following other award-winning filmmakers like Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche, New York). Topics for Moore's Q&A include the government's historic bailout of Wall Street, the struggling economy and wealth distribution. Attendees also have opportunity to win a poster autographed by Moore.
Capitalism: A Love Story stems from Moore's examination of the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans. As he looks into the causes behind the economic meltdown, Moore explores a taboo question: What is the price that America pays for its love of capitalism? The movie will open nationwide Oct. 2.
