Epaphroditus Elkahan Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Epaphroditus Elkahan has devoted his career to promoting culture through film
WEST NEW YORK, NJ, November 25, 2009 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Epaphroditus Elkahan, President of Cry Freedom Pictures and Cry Freedom Foundation, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in film production.
As the director and producer of Cry Freedom Pictures and Cry Freedom Foundation, Inc., Mr. Elkahan strives to make movies and write books that uplift, motivate and inspire others. He is in the process of releasing his first novel, "The President and the Eppieologist," which is about the first black President of the United States. Born and raised on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago in a family of modest means, he started as an archaeologist and raised his five children, but always loved the movies. He moved to Los Angeles, went to film school and worked for Paramount Studios for 14 years. During that time he was an actor but found producing and writing to be his passion. Since his childhood, he promised himself that he would make movies for future generations, encompassing all the elements that moved his mind, body and soul. He started the 501(c)(3) foundation in 2008 to provide a legacy for his children.
Mr. Elkahan learned at an early age that education is a stimulation of the nerve cells and fibers and is the master key that unlocks the limitless potential of every human. The organization has taken a strategic and methodical approach to collaborating and establishing creative relationships with notable writers, producers, directors, actors and musicians of all the human essential elements needed to create a sustainable and profitable product. He has worked with writers including Richard Winn, Iris Bowlay and Skip Press, music producers including Dwayne Wiggins, Jeff Ingram and Matt Perri, directors including Spike Lee and Forest Whitaker, and actors including Delroy Lindo, Robin Williams, Denzel Washington and the "President" Dennis Haysbert.
