Egan Maritime Institute Presents Monday Night Classic Maritime Movies at the Coffin School
Egan Maritime Institute will host Classic Maritime Movies every Monday Night from July 5 through August 30 at the Coffin School.
NANTUCKET ISLAND, MA, June 30, 2010 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Egan Maritime Institute will host Classic Maritime Movies every Monday Night from July 5 through August 30 at the Coffin School. In honor of Nantucket's maritime heritage the Egan Institute invites families and friends to enjoy classic films every Monday night at 7pm throughout the summer.
One Crazy Summer, kicks off the weekly movie marathon with a classic 1980s tale that follows high school graduates out on Nantucket for the summer. The movie features John Cusack and Demi Moore. About Egan Maritime Institute
Located at the historic Coffin School, the Egan Maritime Institute is the island's only non-profit organization devoted exclusively to celebrating Nantucket's seafaring heritage. They maintain a collection of contemporary and illustrative art, books, and artifacts including a commissioned series of paintings by contemporary British marine artist Rodney Charman that depict over 200 years of Nantucket history. Throughout the years, Egan Maritime sponsors ongoing displays, special exhibits and educational and entertaining speaker programs, often featuring local residents, on a variety of special interest topics relating to Nantucket's maritime traditions, history, and culture. The Egan Maritime fulfills its mission by supporting the activities of its affiliates, the Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum and Mill Hill Press, all based on Nantucket.
