Executive Director Makes It On The Big Screen With Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Shauna Hardy-Mishaw to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her phenomenal work in the Arts.
WHISTLER, BC, CANADA, October 12, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Shauna Hardy-Mishaw to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her phenomenal work in the Arts. As Executive Director of the Whistler Film Festival Society for the past 10 years, Shauna has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Established in 2001, the Whistler Film Festival Society is a registered charity committed to celebrating, promoting and developing a strong film industry in Western Canada, and to showcasing the best films from Canada and around the world. The organization produces one of Canada's leading film festivals and plays a leadership role in offering professional development programs and opportunities for filmmakers.
There are two main programs under the guidance of the group, which are the Whistler Film Festival- Whistler's annual celebration of film, and the Whistler Summit - Western Canada's premier industry forum. The Whistler Film Festival Society also runs numerous other year round activities in Whistler including the Reel Alternatives monthly independent film series, the Get Reel Youth Film Program, and the CFC Go West Project Lab.
Shauna is extremely passionate about her role with the organization. She possesses exceptional expertise with development, marketing and management. During her educational career, Shauna earned a Political Science degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1990. She was the recipient of the Woman of the Year award in 2008. Shauna is a member of the Documentary Organization of Canada.
