Circle of Seven Productions Wins Bid for Novels Alive TV Site
Novels Alive TV is an online book and reader site that went live in 2010 with video, book reviews and articles. Brought to readers by the creators of Between Your Sheets.
UKIAH, CA, February 23, 2011 /Movies and Video PR News/ -- Novels Alive TV is an online book and reader site that went live in 2010 with video, book reviews and articles. The site has magazine-type layout and was created by the same team who brought readers the romance site Between Your Sheets which has been successful over the past few years.
Circle of Seven (COS) Productions which just re-launched their own Reader's Entertainment Community site has expanded its offerings over the years and created Reader's Entertainment Group which is made up of author and reader sites. In a bid to reach more readers COS Productions is growing what it offers on thr REC site which has been in business since early 2006 and offers book trailers, the company's signature product, as well as author interview videos, award winning original shows such as The Lonesome Losers and The Zombie Today Show but which now offers a wider variety and more than just video.
"The idea is to build a greater community of readers by offering quality entertainment in a variety of ways," says REC Station manager Dayna Linton. The new site offers much more interactive options to visitors of the site as well as specific genre channels for those interested in only certain types of books. Also offered are blogs, book reviews, articles and the site's big addition "Spotlight" which gives readers a chance to get to know a specific author all week by offering daily features such as "Meet the Author", multimedia, free giveaways and other interactive offerings. The site also allows others to post to their site via Twitter by using the hash tag #booktrailer or #rectv.
There's little advertising on the site with the majority of the site's income stemming from sponsorship. The Spotlight and original shows are open to sponsorship thought there are four ad squares available that show on the majority of the site's pages.
"COS purchased the Novels Alive TV site in order to eventually merge assets into RECtv site, but for now the Novels Alive TV site continues to offer its own material including COS videos, " says COS Productions CEO Sheila English. "The group who created Novels Alive TV, including Dayna Linton who is now the RECtv station manager have been very successful in reader outreach and we wanted to add that to what COS and, by extension, RECtv puts emphasis on."
Novels Alive TV will continue to run with its own material and schedule for as long as the site is viable and continues to be a platform for COS Productions book videos.
