Chris Kirby-Ryan Appears In The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who

REDCLIFFE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, May 15, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Chris Kirby-Ryan to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her extraordinary effort in the Advertising Industry. As a Writer/Director with Major Drama, as well as throughout her incredible 30 plus years in the business, Chris has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.
Established by Chris in 1990, Major Drama is a video production company specializing in corporate, training and induction videos (DVD's) as well as providing corporate presenters and other materials for incorporation on websites. They are involved in training staffs, promoting companies, and advertising products and services. The company recently added a new arm to their business entitled Small Business Marketer where they specialize in designing logo, image, website and advertising materials for small to medium businesses.
The company was originally established to meet the increasing need for locally produced training resources in Australia, as well as programs tailor-made to a company's specifications. Often being called upon to produce corporate and marketing videos at the same time as the training programs, Major Drama broadened its services to include all advertising and marketing communications. This parcel of services has now expanded into online and social media and is the hallmark of Major Drama activities.
Chris has been writing for over 30 years and has worked in many large multi-national advertising agencies along with a lot of medium sized and smaller agencies. She started out in the multi-national advertising agency U.S.P. Needham in the checking department. Her desire to write from a very young age, quickly led her to the copy department. After successfully completing some copywriting assignments, Chris worked her way into Fortune Advertising. From there she gained experience in retail advertising with the Myer Advertising Department, to then move onto George Pattersons to work on, amongst others, the Target account. She was later lured over to J. Walter Thompson as Creative Group Head to work on their biggest account, Kraft, and was instrumental in gaining the first new business JWT Melbourne had added in 11 years.
As well as her position within Major Drama, Chris is often a freelancer to a number of advertising agencies and graphic design studios. She has been the recipient of numerous awards over the years, including, the New York Clio Award for Creative Excellence, Melbourne Art Directors Award, and an Australia Mobie Award. Chris was responsible for naming Big M flavored milk which created world history in sales directly related to an advertising campaign. She also re-birthed the famous jingle "Happy Little Vegemites" for the Aussie icon spread, Vegemite.
